I use to like Cat Stevens but when he was very public and outspoken that Salman Rushdie the author should be killed for writing a fiction book about Islam called the Satanic Verses I stopped listening to him. I even sold my old Cat Stevens albums, (remember what those were)at a garage sale.
ReplyDeleteIf writing something negative about someone or a religon should elicit the death penalty we are in a screwed up world. It is sad people actually live in that world.

Agreed, fanaticism never benefits anyone. It simply clouds our minds and judgment, very sad indeed. Too bad, though, I used to enjoy his music.
